1. Orders & Payment

Full payment is required to confirm and secure your order and event date — there is no separate deposit-only option online. Of this payment, 50% represents your deposit and 50% represents your balance. Your date is only reserved once payment has been received in full.

2. Cancellations & Refunds

The deposit (50% of your payment) is non-refundable. If you cancel at least 2 days before your event date: the deposit can be applied as store credit toward a future order of equal value, as long as the new order is placed with at least 7 days' notice before the new date; and the remaining 50% (your balance) will be refunded to your original payment method. Refunds can take up to 2 weeks to process, depending on the payment provider. If you cancel less than 2 days before your event date, the full payment (deposit and balance) is forfeited and cannot be transferred or refunded, as your cake may already be made.

3. Allergens & Ingredients

Moody MTL is a home-based bakery. All cakes are made in a home kitchen that also handles gluten, dairy, eggs, and nuts. While care is taken with ingredients, we cannot guarantee a completely allergen-free product or environment. Please tell us about any allergies when placing your order — final responsibility for reviewing ingredients rests with the client.

4. Custom Designs & Inspiration Photos

Any inspiration photos you send are used as creative direction only. Your cake will be made in Moody's own style, using Moody's own materials and techniques, and will not be an identical copy of a reference image. If you'd like a specific element to closely match a reference photo, this is subject to our ability to recreate it — we're happy to discuss what's possible once we see your inspiration photos.

5. Photo Usage

Moody MTL may photograph finished orders and share them on Instagram, the portfolio, or other marketing materials, unless you let us know otherwise when placing your order.

6. Pickup & Delivery

Please allow at least 7 days' notice for all orders. Orders are not available for pickup or delivery on Mondays or Tuesdays. Pickup in Verdun is free. Delivery is available for a fee starting at $14, with the final price depending on the distance between our location and your event.

For both pickup and delivery, we'll give you a one-hour time window. If you're running late, please let us know as soon as possible. If we need to leave before you arrive, you'll need to arrange pickup or delivery for another time.

7. Your Privacy

Information you share through our order form — including your name, contact details, delivery address, and allergy information — is used only to prepare and fulfill your order and to communicate with you about it. We do not sell or share your information with third parties.
